Our designs are inspired by the natural landscapes that surround us.
Custom Floral Design
The seasonal changes in nature influence all Botanica creations whether it be florals or landscape design. Floral arrangements and installations will use seasonally available material, and when available, flowers grown in my cutting gardens in Nashville and farm in Robertson County TN. Arrangements will reflect the cycles of nature and the season at hand. Bulbs and blooming branches in spring, heat loving perennials in summer, seed pods and crimson foliage in Fall, and berries and seasonal greenery during the holidays. Landscape design will focus on how a space will be used and views from the street and house creating spaces that evolve throughout the year and provide inviting spaces within the landscape.
Floral design is inspired by the seasonal changes in the garden. Arrangements are organic in form using flowers grown in my own gardens and locally grown plant material when available. The mood and flower choices will change and evolve throughout the year as a reflection of what nature is providing. Each arrangement is a fleeting work of nature’s art, to be appreciated and remembered, but never truly duplicated.
Meet the Designer
Carter Dawson started Botanica out of a love for design and the beauty that nature provides. Growing up in a family of gardeners gave her innate appreciation for the bounty a garden can bring. This foundation lead her to LSU for graduate study in Landscape Architecture. After leaving the design field to work for her family business for 15 years, she has returned to life in the garden and shares that knowledge and enthusiasm with her clients through her floral and landscape design. She continually expands her private gardens with additional space for more cutting flowers and extraordinary shrubs and trees to bring uniqueness to her floral designs.
